Ab Na Jaa - Euphoria

Euphoria has come up with many hit numbers over the years through its various albums and some of the songs have gone on to top the chartbusters. This particular romantic song, Ab Na Jaa was a big hit but somehow I missed it completely, until a new net friend of mine, Neha brought my attention to the song.

Since then, I haven’t lost a moment in penning down the chords of the song. They are pretty simple but use barre chords so you need to know that to play this song.

By the way, Neha had a very memorable experience in relation to this song which I have quoted below. It is a once-in-a-lifetime kinda experience! She got this dedicated to her by the singer Palash Sen himself! Read it below.

Unfortunately, she still doesn’t wanna add me in orkut! Those of you who think guitarist are able to find friends very easily, think again !!

Neha sharing her experience in her own words…

One of my favourite song of all time is Ab Naa Jaa by “Euphoria” (Singer: Palash Sen) and one of the most favourite moment I recollect is when Palash Sen dedicated this song to me in a concert.

It was 15th Feb 2006, the day CAT was held all over India, after having an excellent day (Of course not the exam!) I ended up being in this concert by ‘EUPHORIA’ late evening with a friend during the last few moments and hence managed to get the free entry. Amidst entire chaos, I innocuously managed to get closer to the stage; no body stopped me while I managed to break the Security barricade. Inspite of the fact that Palash sung my favourite song twice (I asked a gal standing next to me) owing to audience request, I still persisted for this song screaming on top of my voice, inching closer to the stage, but to no avail since it was last few minutes and Palash Sen had some other Agenda. But all this while I managed to grab his attention requesting over and over for this song (Who would want to let an opportunity go to see your favourite song sung by the same singer live!!). But unfortunately, he couldn’t comprehend the song (due to chaos and endless request being the final few moments) but noticed my level of excitement and passion for one song in specific; I went on requesting and understood his expressions well while he went on performing supposedly the last song.

Finally, my friend took the CAT paper (since nothing else was available) and wrote behind “Ab naa Jaa” (Quite Visible from distant) and I flashed it continuously in front of the stage and Alas!!!!!!! When palash finished his song which he announced to be the last song for the evening, he still read the paper and looked at my disappointed face and assumingly failed effort, he smiled and then admired the audience and said “I would like to dedicate the last song of the evening Ab naa Jaa to this young gal in black Jacket” and sung few stanzas before finally rapping the show. The tears went rolling on my face and I hugged my friend. The day is still fresh in my thought, the moment is still alive.

For people who don’t know what song I am talking about pls check this link http://www.dhoom.com/songs.htm , it made me cry endlessly recollecting the separation of my loved one, may be it reminds you of someone too. Well a page of my student life which I thought to share with you which indeed was a special moment of my life owing to series of events that took place that day.
