Guitar Chords: Zara Si Dil Mein De Jagah, Jannat

Posted by | September 29, 2008 .

Think Emraan Haashmi and think fabulous music in his films. Hits after hits, his movies always gave us many melodeous songs. Here comes another from the movie “JANNAT”.

Together Pritam, Sayeed Quadri and KK do everything right to make a song which is a sure shot chartbuster in the making. One would have expected the next version of the song to be a full on Club mix. However, that’s not the case as it is set as an unplugged edition, KK with just a guitar in background. In fact, this version sounds even better and is worth the price that one may go for it.

Shifted to Doreo Web Hosting, Fused Network Sucks

Posted by | September 29, 2008 .

Finally I shifted AbhinavSonkar.com to her third web host. Actually, it should have been second but a bad experience with web hosting company called Fused Network forced me to look for a third one. Read on for details.

Why I changed my Web Host?

Since the birth of this blog, I had been hosting on FutureQuest. I think it is an excellent web hosting company and would recommend FutureQuest to anyone who is looking for hosting a new website. Though a bit pricey, the best thing about this host is it provides you a dedicated IP address so you are not on a shared server. Yes, starting at $9.95, you get a dedicated IP address for the lifetime of your blog at no extra cost!

Then why did I leave them? Firstly, they have a very high cost to features ratio. They told me it was necessary to maintain high reliability and no doubt, they were very reliable. Only a single downtime in the eight months that I was with them. But the bandwidth limit of 5GB became a hindrance to the blog’s growth and penalties were being levied. In the last month, the projected bandwidth usage was to such a level that I would have had to pay more than monthly hosting charges as over-bandwidth fee! The other plans offered by them were too costly for me.

Secondly, some features were missing in their package. They didn’t provide subdomains with any of their package. No raw logs analyzer. Their control panel reminded me of my dad’s MS-DOS based system. Considering all these factors and to avoid the heavy over-bandwidth fee, I decided to look for a new web host. I signed up with Fused Network.

John Denver

“Take Me Home, Country Roads” is a song written by John Denver, Bill Danoff and Taffy Nivert, and initially recorded by John Denver. It was included on his 1971 breakout album Poems, Prayers and Promises; the single went to #2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
After many other hit singles, “Take Me Home, Country Roads” remains Denver’s signature song.

AbhinavSonkar.com would be completing its first year come January 2009. She was born as a personal blog to showcase my talents and writing skills to the blogosphere. But the turning point came when I decided to publish chords of a song I had mastered on my guitar during my early years. I am glad I did. I could never have imagined the kind of response I received leading me to post more and more songs. After nine months readers have appreciated my efforts and love the blog.

You Can Also Contribute to the Community

My endeavor is to build a community where people can come to see and understand chords and tabs of their favorite songs and also share their own expertise.

Let me be clear on this. I do not intend to build a forum where anybody can come and post their information. At least not yet. There is the comments feature for all your doubts and queries which the experts here are more than happy to reply to. If you think you have something to share with the community in the form of chords, tabs, leads, lessons, tutorials and other general information, then I invite you to join in as a Regular Contributor. Let’s make it a better place for everybody.
