Late Goodbye

Poets of the FallA slow beautiful song which was developed as a theme song for the PC Game: Max Payne 2. It uses basic chords with an edgy short and sweet intro riff… This song is based on a poem by Sam Lake. Heard it for the first time when I completed Max Payne game on my computer. It played in the background of the credits. Liked it then & there and decided to play it on my guitar!INTRO RIFF

CHORUS:

Bm A Am G6

and we keep driving into the night

it's a late goodbye, such a late goodbye

Bm A Am G6

it's a late goodbye...

VERSE 2:

Em Am

your breath hot upon my cheek, and we crossed, that line

you made me strong when I was feeling weak, and we crossed, that one time

screaming stop signs, staring wild eyes keep on flashing, (flashing by...)

(CHORUS repeats...)

BRIDGE:

Em A Am G6

the devil grins from ear to ear when he sees the hand he's dealt us

Bm A Am G6

points at your flaming hair, and then we're playing hide and seek

Bm A Am G6

I can't breathe easy here, less our trail's gone cold behind us

Bm A Am G6

till' in the john mirror you stare at yourself grown old and weak

Bm A Am G6

and we keep driving into the night

    Am D Em

it's a late goodbye, such a late goodbye.

Bm A Am G6

and we keep driving into the night

    Am D Em

it's a late goodbye, such a late goodbye.

Sorry dude, I really don’t have time to record a video and put it here… why not look for it on youtube? If you are lucky you might find one…

Practice playing random strings and master barre chords… it will surely help you with arpeggios!
